Providing evidence of your year level is important to ensure you are paid at the correct rate, and to help managers with rostering for skill mix.

There are two ways you can provide evidence of your year level:

Statement of service
This is the gold standard for providing evidence of your nursing year level, as it clarifies actual hours worked. You can request a statement of service from your employer's HR department.

Statutory Declaration
A Statutory Declaration is a written statement that you declare to be true and correct in the presence of an authorised witness.

Please note: CNS Year roles are specific to your home facility so won't be accepted at other facilities. It will however help your profile to shine so make sure this is included in your work experience. 

To move up a year level, you must accumulate 1786 hours at your registration grade. We are unable to facilitate back pay, so please ensure your year level is kept up to date at all times.

uPaged conforms to the Nurses Award 2020. This Fair Work Commission consolidated modern award incorporates all amendments up to and including 14 November 2022. According to the Award, a year level is gained with every 1786 hours of work completed at your registration grade. You can find this here at #15.7

You can add dual registrations to your practitioner type, simply:

1. Go to the Profession section in your profile 
2. Click the + Add button under PRACTITIONER TYPE section
3. Select your profession, practitioner title and level 
4. Upload your supporting documentation
5. Hit the Save button

On-demand work is not typically suited to new graduate nurses. This means when you sign up, you won't see any matching opportunities.

That said, occasionally we do have work available for graduate nurses, so keep an eye on emails from us as we'll contact you if there is.

When you have over 1,786 hours of clinical experience update your Prac Type year level with evidence of this, and you'll start seeing matching opportunities.
