Work Experience & Interview

Your work experience allows facility managers to make a clinical decision as to your fit for a role. Additionally the uPaged system matches you with work based on the specialties you have worked in over the last 3 years.

It's important to have your work experience in your profile before your interview with us. Don't have time? Email us your up to date resume, ahead of your interview and we'll add this for you.

Adding Work Experience

To add information to your Work Experience section simply:

Go to the Experience section in your profile
Click the + Add button under WORK EXPERIENCE
section
Select the relevant information from the drop downs
Click the declaration
Hit the Save button

Hint: Specialties are key here, uPaged requires you to have worked in a specialty for at least one year, within the last 3 years, for it to be a match.

Your uPaged Interview

Please treat this like you would treat a job interview. We'll ask you to talk through your nursing experience to date, including some of the key skills you gained in this experience.

BEFORE THIS CALL: Please make sure ALL of your relevant work experience is added to your uPaged account before we talk. You can do this in your profile via web, or in the Checklist section of the app by clicking on Work Experience. Alternatively email us your up to date resume and we'll add this for you.

Tertiary Education

If you're registered with AHPRA, you do not need to provide your Tertiary Education. That said, if you had post graduate qualifications such as a Grad Cert or Masters of Nursing in a particular specialty, you can add this here.

Popular FAQs

Specialties are areas of practice that nurses have gained experience in. These specialties should be outlined clearly in either the work experience section of the profile or on your resume.

At uPaged, we recommend working in a particular area for 1 year before calling it a speciality.

Typically, the more specialised your experience, the more in-demand you’ll be. Healthcare workers with experience in ICU, ED, Theatre Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics, Recovery are always in demand, however uPaged has something for everyone, and many healthcare organisations are willing to offer on-the-job-training in more specialised areas for returning healthcare talent.
