Working with Children Check

Working with children check (WWCC) is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work. You will need to provide evidence of an WWCC for each state you plan on working in. The check must be a Employment and not Volunteer clearance.

Applying for a WWCC

If you need  to apply for a new WWCC click on the relevant state link below. Please ensure this is an employment check and not a volunteer check:

Updating WWCC

WWCC need to be updated every 5 years. To update your WWCC in your uPaged profile simply:
 
  1. Go to the Work Clearances section in your profile 
  2. Click on the pencil within the WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE section
  3. Update any new details
  4. Hit the Save button

Working with Children Checks expiration depends on the state the check is work, please check your relevant state check website for more information

A paid (Employment) Working With Children Check is valid for both paid and volunteer work.

A volunteer Working With Children Check is for unpaid child-related work only.

No, as you will be completing work in a paid capacity you will require a paid WWCC. If you need to update your check please see your relevant states WWCC websites on how to do this.
